St Silas Episcopal Church, Glasgow
Constructed in 1864, this Grade B Listed church was designed by well-known Glasgow architect, John Honeyman. The lack of suitable space demanded an extension alongside, and in keeping with, the existing building to house a new church hall, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, foyer/cafe and kitchen.
The natural stone front incorporates eye-catching glass curtain walling allowing plenty of light into the building. Some of the original stone from the building, including a coloured glass rose window, was retained and integrated into the new build, creating a stunning mix of old and new.
